Karen was born and raised in Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama where she studied Computer Science. For the next eleven years, she co-owned and managed two large franchises based out of Birmingham, AL. In 2009 she began homeschooling her three daughters and relocated to Florida. In 2012, she became a regional manager for an international homeschool organization which entailed event planning, recruiting directors and developing and managing homeschool communities in the East Coast Florida region. 

Karen is currently the project manager for PD/GO Digital Marketing where she employs various internet skills including technical support, programming and content management. She works with clients and staff to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget to the full satisfaction of each client.
