Voting Day: Go Make It Happen

Quick tip: polls are open right now, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so there's still plenty of time to vote before or after your event day.

It's primary day in Florida, and if there's one group of people who understand the power of showing up, it's event managers. You spend your days making sure people arrive, participate, and feel like their presence matters, so consider this your reminder to extend that same energy to yourself today.

Voting is one of the simplest, most tangible ways to shape the community you work in every day, the venues, permits, local ordinances, and public spaces that make your events possible. A few minutes at the polls is a small investment with a real return.

If you haven't voted yet:

  • Polls are open until 7 p.m. local time
  • Bring a valid photo ID
  • Not sure where to go? Check your county Supervisor of Elections website for your assigned polling place

And if you've already voted, nice work. Consider giving your team, vendors, or venue partners a friendly nudge too. A quick "hey, did you vote today?" text goes a long way.

However you spend the rest of your day, site walkthroughs, vendor calls, final headcounts, take a minute for this one first. Democracy, like a good event, runs better when everyone shows up.
